Teaching your kids to love camping?
My childhood memories are one of the best parts of my life and today when I recollect all those moments it brings satisfaction and joy!!
Camping and outdoor activities with my siblings and cousins were not just one of the best ways to spend the vacation. But it was the time when we all learned some of the most important lessons of our life. There we learned the lessons how to support each other in the time of danger, planning, and developing surviving skills during tough times. Sometimes I feel that our children are not living their childhood in a right way. They are more comfortable in the virtual world than in the real world. I want my children to enjoy the childhood near nature.
Modern Day Kids
Technology has benefited us in many ways, but we cannot deny the fact that it has literally wiped away the joy of childhood from this generation. I don’t want my children to be caged with their gadgets so I have planned to tell them the benefits of camping and motivate them for the next summer camp.
Camping will bring them near to nature: yes, your Tab can allow you to view all the mountains, but it will not give you a chance to feel it. Tell your kids how amazing it is to feel the flowing river, or counting different flowers near the camping area. The vibrant world of birds will surely amaze them.
They would learn to appreciate the nature: Nature can teach you many lessons, but for that, you have to spend some time near to it. Let them enjoy a shower under a waterfall or how amazing it is to find your favorite fruit hanging from the branch!!
Let them learn survival skills: Tell your kids how camping could prepare them for a better tomorrow. There they will learn how to survive in the different environment and how to manage tough conditions.
It breaks the monotony; Everybody loves the change and tell your kids how exciting it is to camp near the river bank or how pretty it looks to spend a night under the sky and gaze stars, all these attractions will surely motivate the child for camping.
Practical knowledge: Camping teaches you the best survival lessons. They will learn how to survive in a limited resource. You can learn how to fish and learn the different plants and how to work with others to set up a campsite.
Ask your kids to pack their bags and get ready to explore the nature and the world in a different light. There is the world beyond the screen and one should explore the real world in its natural surroundings to appreciate the beauty of nature.
